it almost seems as if trying to pick up on blogging is an impossible feat. sometimes i have a lot to say, but most of the time i feel like my life isn't profound enough for people to read about on a blog. that may just be the boring married college kid side of me talking, but i'm going to give this a shot again! (thanks to my friend allie who has inspired me to try again). since i last blogged, SO much has happened in my life. it's almost not even possible to explain.

let's see...

-moved to the state of california to pursue Deaf Studies
-sulked there for five months
-couldn't find jobs there
-started working at starbucks
-couldn't get anything moving with our school in Los Angeles
-decided it really wasn't worth it
-moved back home to our college in pennsylvania where we are HAPPY
-still work at starbucks
-now pursuing a career in Disability Services
-STILL haven't heard back from our college in Los Angeles on acceptance

when people ask me why i moved to california, i let out such a sigh of frustration... not because i am frustrated with them asking, who wouldn't be curious? it's just the complications and struggles that went along with the experience. it truly was life-changing but and i learned so much. i matured so much through it. there are just so many hoops i had to hurdle out there. so many complications...

but it's behind me now. and i'm so much happier. pennsylvania is and always will be my true home.

anniversary

a couple weeks ago was our first anniversary weekend! we went back to the bed and breakfast where we spent our first night together and it was so so sweet.

i saved my bouquet from the wedding and i'm so glad i did! i'd love to take pictures with it every year i just don't know how to preserve it since it's already dried up and fragile! i think it would be sweet to have pictures with the bouquet each anniversary, though.

this is one of my favorite pictures of us, ever! :)

it was a really sweet weekend. my husband is such a handsome darling, too. i'm so blessed to call him mine.

so tuesday one of my favorite bands, Eisley released their new album, Currents.

it is an absolutely beautifully done album. also, check out the sweet album art done by Sherri! they almost outdid their last album, The Valley, which i think is still my favorite. i love eisley because they don't fit into any particular musical mold. i think it's amazing that they are all related, as well.

fun fact: i've been obsessing over eisley and fan-girling over sherri-dupree bemis for months now. they are all awesome people, but i adore sherri's style the most. she has got to be one of the most adorable people i've ever seen. and it doesn't help that she's married to one of my favorite vocalists, max bemis from say anything. they've got such a sweet little family and i totally look up to them!

OH, i forgot to mention that my sweet husband bought me a max bemis song shop song for valentine's day. if you haven't heard of it, you send max a few paragraphs about your life or whatever you want the song to be about and he writes a custom song for you and performs it... but what makes MINE special is that david bought me a song shop featuring SHERRI! i can't wait to get it! it takes max quite a while to get the songs sent out so i'm expecting mine sometime this summer. when david surprised me by playing the demo song on valentine's day i nearly cried, it was so special!

/eisley say anything appreciation post

so now that i'm out of school, i have a lot of time on my hands since i haven't been able to find a job yet at home. it's no fun, honestly. i really want to work. i have called so many places back that i applied to, and i'm just not having any luck. hopefully things look up soon. but all this time on my hands is making me think more and more about things i want for my birthday all the way in august. since i got married, i haven't really been able to justify buying many things for myself since we need money for groceries and bills. i had christmas money that i held onto for months and finally used at modcloth and have had it as store credit ever since. here's a list of things i've had my eye on that i'd really like to have!

LUSH cosmetics - ocean salt face wash.

go ahead and try telling me this stuff doesn't look amazing! maybe it's the color of it that i want the most, hahah! but honestly i think i want to give it a shot. i wish it wasn't so expensive. there's a LUSH store in pittsburgh, or i could order it online. i think i want to check out the store. i just don't want to get addicted to the stuff, because it's just too pricey for my taste.

this dress, oh my gosh! i want it so badly. i just don't know if i can justify buying it for $92... but i currently have $60 in modcloth credit but i still don't know. i have not had a lot of luck with their products. in my experiences, their dresses have either been designed poorly or lack in quality. the last yellow dress i bought there was great, though. we will see.

this has to be one of the most adorable swimsuit tops i have ever seen! my husband thinks it's a little juvenile and "middle-school"-esque but i love it. i love the bow on it so much, too. it's out of stock in my size, though and if i buy it i want it now so i have it all summer.

that's all i've got for now, i'm sure i'll be posting about things i have my eye on for my birthday wishlist quite often! hahah.

the other day i got my darling Lemonade to Order Dress from modcloth in the mail that i've been swooning over for a while, so i styled it and took some pictures after it rained!

  • headband, claire's - $6
  • dress, modcloth - $57
  • red rainboots, target - $15

i am hooked on this outfit. i can't wait to wear it again after it rains! it would also be adorable to wear to a graduation party or picnic!

i am new to blogging in this sense. i've been on tumblr for a few years but this isn't even close to the same thing! if anyone has some constructive tips for me, that would be great! i'm thinking about purchasing a cute little blogger layout from etsy soon, this layout just isn't doing it for me! :/

i've been too busy to get this blog up and going but i am very excited to be making my first post! i've wanted a blog like this to channel some creativity into. so, i guess i should introduce myself. my name is peyton suzanne caron.

i am a twenty-year-old pennsylvania native. in the summer of 2012, i married my bearded best friend, david andrew, who grew up in the state of california. together we live in south western pennsylvania.

in our short eleven months of marriage, we have faced many challenges and fears in regards to our education at our college, indiana university of pennsylvania (way too long of a story to go into detail, i will post about it later on). however, we are prepared to overcome it by moving across the country to the state of california to pursue our dreams, mine of becoming an American Sign Language interpreter, and his of becoming an Architect. this blog will consist of all types of things, including outfit posts, recipes, new music, and fun things that happen in my life! i hope you enjoy reading and i promise to try to update as often as i can! <3
